Join us on New Year's Day to celebrate wellness in nature.

Come to our park to begin the new year with a wellness walk. This self-guided walk will be along the peaceful White-tail Trail on the Walnut Ridge Unit.

As you hike along the trail you'll be greeted with several signs that help you reflect on nature-inspired quotes and practice mindful meditation techniques. After you complete the hike stop by park HQ to get your 1st Day Hike sticker! (while supplies last).

When: Saturday, January 1st - January 9th.  We plan to keep the signs up for more than 1 day to allow multiple visitors a chance to reflect on their 2022 thoughts, resolutions, and goals.

Where: The White-tail Trail on the Walnut Ridge Unit. 

What to bring: Dress appropriately for the weather. Bring a bottle of water, a camera, and yourself!

There is no fee for attending this self-guided hike; however, payment of park entrance fees are required. Entrance fees are paid at Park Headquarters or the self-pay stations and are $4 per person over the age of 13, children 12 and under are free.
