Description:

Hike through our historic park and learn about the work of the Civilian Conservation Corps. We will discuss their legacy and view examples of their craftsmanship.

  • Expect: Moderate 1-mile hike over hilly terrain. We will discuss the Civilian Conservation Corps and view the CCC cabin area, bridges, and pavilion.
  • When: We’ll begin promptly at 1PM and end at approximately 2:30PM.
  • Where: Meet at the day-use area just past the cabins. We will walk together from the parking area to the Pine Ridge Loop Trailhead.
  • What to Bring: Appropriate footwear and water. Don’t forget to put on sunblock and bug spray before you come out.
  • Cost and Fine Print: Program is included in park entry fees- $4 per person ages 13 and older, 12 and under are free. No need to register, just show up! Programs are subject to cancellation in the event of inclement weather. Cancellations will be announced on Caddo Lake State Park Facebook page or you can call Park HQ.
