Add flourish and pizazz to your natural journal titles with modern calligraphy.

Nature journaling may include sketches, paintings, maps, or notes. A flourished title tops off the marvelous work on your journaling page. In this program you’ll learn and practice the core calligraphy strokes to begin forming beautiful lettering. We’ll use simple tools like thick classroom markers so your success can be easily (and inexpensively) replicated at home! You can bring your own journal or use a page from us. Journals with lined pages work best for this program.

Participants of all ages are welcome to attend. This program is best suited for those who can sit and write for 10+ minutes at a time. This program is best suited for participants who can already write English letters.

When: 3pm

Where: Meet at the Education Center in the Walnut Ridge Unit

Bring: Your own nature journal - a journal with lined pages works best for this program. 

Cost: Entrance to the park requires the purchase of a $4 day pass or a Texas State Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free.

Youth participants must be accompanied by an adult.
