Join a ranger to discover the fascinating world of snakes!
Snakes are fascinating and often misunderstood members of their ecosystems. On this one-mile hike, we will discover the many species of snakes that call Southeast Texas home and their important roles in the ecosystem.
When: 10 am - 11:00 am
Where to meet: The Walnut Slough day-use area parking lot, right before the small observation bridge.
What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes and bug spray. Use the restrooms prior to the hike, there are no facilities at the trailhead.
There is no fee for attending this program; however, payment of park entrance fees are required. Entrance fees are paid at Park Headquarters or the self-pay stations and are $4 per person over the age of 13, children 12 and under are free.
