Meet Ranger Amy at the Walnut Slough Day Use Area before the small observation bridge. You can choose between two hikes, the .8 long Island Trail or the 1.5-mile long Wildlife Trail. Begin from the small observation bridge and end in the same spot.

**When complete you earn a Turkey Trot Souvenir Pin!**

What to bring: Water and bug spray.

Where: The Walnut Slough Day Use Area. Meet before the small observation bridge.

What to expect: Expect a self-guided hiking experience. Choose a trail and expect to finish within an hour and a half.  

There is no fee for attending this program; however, payment of park entrance fees are required. Entrance fees are paid at Park Headquarters or the self-pay stations and are $4 per person over the age of 13, children 12 and under are free.
