Description:

Louis Bronaugh Park, formerly City Hall Park, was renamed on June 6, 2006 after longtime Lufkin Mayor Louis Bronaugh.  It is one of Lufkin's newest park facilities.  It is located across Charlton from City Hall.  The park is an excellent facility for public ceremonies.  The City of Lufkin, in conjunction with the Landscape Task Force dedicated the bronze eagle sculpture in Bronaughl Park on  September 11, 2002. The the newly dedicated bronze eagle in Bronaugh Park was designed by Edd Hayes to memorialize all the people who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.
